However, even an elementary collective visit to the director gave certain results: at our request, previously absent documents suddenly "appeared" and the director, it seems, had to open the labor code for the first time in his life. The administration is accustomed to manipulating teachers one by one, to meet collective resistance from even a few people they did not expect.

However, in the main, no concessions were made. The conversation with the founder was also unsuccessful. He argued with pathos that he was an honest man and did not have any profit from school, and new system payment was introduced in order to make it easier to pay taxes. The arguments about the norms of the Labor Code did not work on him: “I would pay you on time if I could, but I cannot, the sponsors don’t give me money.” The most lethal argument was the complaint about a torn pillowcase, which he and his wife have been using for 17 years. The administration, of course, panicked; exhortations, promises, threats, requests to immediately withdraw the complaint rained down, but we stood our ground: money in the morning - chairs in the evening. As a result, the authorities considered it best to resolve the conflict peacefully, because if an inspection came, many unpleasant moments would be revealed. Before the New Year, everyone was given full wage debts, and even a bonus to everyone in the amount of 1,000 rubles.

It would seem that this small victory should have instilled in teachers a sense of their own dignity, self-confidence and a desire to fight further. We began to think about creating a trade union cell. Alas, we did not manage to find at least a third person for this purpose. Our colleagues were satisfied with what they had achieved and were afraid after that to provoke the wrath of their superiors. And the word "trade union" brought to light the most amazing cockroaches in their heads: some were convinced that trade unions were banned in schools, some did not understand what a trade union was for if it did not distribute vouchers.

In general, the year is over, I defended my dissertation and decided, as I had planned before, to go to university again: after all, with a candidate's degree there are more chances of getting a job. But it turned out to be not so easy to implement this plan, because during these three years the matter of optimization higher education and the entire budgetary sphere has moved far ahead.

The maximum that their consciousness reaches is to the conclusion that "everything is bad with us, because the country is like this, and there's nothing you can do about it." And this is not the worst option yet. There are those who still retain faith in liberal market values and expect to get rid of some effective manager like Prokhorov.

What then can one demand from the “common people” if even those who are proud of their belonging to the intelligentsia are unable to draw elementary logical conclusions on the principle “from the particular to the general”? The damned ideology of "educational services" has done its job, and parents of schoolchildren and students increasingly perceive themselves as consumers, think in accordance with the principle: "Make me beautiful." In their eyes, the main culprits of the declining quality of knowledge and corruption in schools and universities are the teachers themselves, and not the government's policy, which is precisely aimed at turning education into a supermarket. After all, as you know, any seller seeks to sell his product at the lowest cost and with the greatest profit for himself, and if you manage to sell a poor quality product, then this is generally an indicator of awesome enterprise and efficiency.

This situation is a very clear manifestation of professional cretinism inherent in modern society when a person identifies himself so much with his work, his way of making money, that he loses the ability to see beyond his own nose.
