7.1 "Point of medical aid".

Road signs perform the function of ensuring road safety and are standardized graphic images. Road signs are installed along the edges of the carriageway. They are designed to provide drivers and pedestrians with the necessary information that is relevant for a particular section of traffic.

Road signs in different states often differ significantly from each other, despite the fact that in most countries their general principles are the same. There are two main systems of road signs: Anglo-Saxon and European. In our country, as well as in European and many other countries, the signs and signals used are developed in accordance with the requirements of the Vienna Convention.

Road signs used on the roads of Russia are established by the SDA. The latest changes regarding road signs and symbols have been made to this document since 2006. 24 new signs appeared in the Rules, as well as 18 varieties of signs that already existed before.

There are the following groups:

  • 1.Warning signs.
  • 2. Signs of priority.
  • 3. Prohibiting (limiting) signs.
  • 4. Mandatory signs.
  • 5. Signs of special regulations.
  • 6. Information signs.
  • 7. Service marks.
  • 8. Signs of additional information.

Every driver is obliged to know what road signs mean. But if you rarely see any signs while driving, they begin to be forgotten. Therefore, it is best to have a table of road signs at hand, as well as periodically repeat the information contained in it.

Warning traffic signs pictures with explanations

They perform the function of informing drivers that there is a dangerous road ahead, and when driving on it, it is necessary to take appropriate safety measures. Basically, these signs are made in the form of white triangles, the top of which is directed upwards, and the sides have a red border.

Road traffic priority signs pictures with explanations

These images establish the order in which vehicles must pass intersections (intersections, narrow road sections). These signs are characterized by a special form that distinguishes them from all others.

Prohibition traffic signs pictures with explanations

These images introduce (or, conversely, cancel) traffic restrictions. Most of them are made in the form of a white circle, which is framed by a red border.

Mandatory traffic signs pictures with explanations.

7. Road traffic service signs pictures with explanations

These images indicate the presence of service facilities along the route (gas station, camping, etc.)

8. Signs of additional information (plates)

They are made in the form of plates, installed together with other signs and perform the function of clarification or limitation.

Have you noticed how many road signs have appeared on the roads lately? And this trend will continue in the near future. The increase in the number of signs on highways and streets of settlements is due to the fact that the traffic police are trying to regulate traffic on difficult sections of roads as much as possible, as well as reduce accidents on them. Unfortunately, a large number of road signs confuse even experienced drivers, which ultimately leads to fines. And not small. How to protect yourself from fines and learn how to quickly read road signs so as not to violate?

Confess to yourself by asking yourself a few questions - "Have I violated any traffic sign lately?", or "Have you experienced difficulties in front of several road signs, trying to decipher their joint meaning?".

In most cases, many drivers will answer these questions in the affirmative.

Indeed, as a rule, on difficult sections of the road, in front of medical institutions, in front of railway stations, etc. it is not uncommon to see several road signs on the same pole that prescribe certain observances to the driver. As a result, many drivers have difficulty interpreting road signs. As a result, due to the misreading of signs on the road, we violate traffic rules. And our haste and frivolous interpretation of road signs are to blame for everything. And what is most offensive is that if we would carefully look at the road signs and take our time, then in most cases we would not violate the rules of the road.

The worst thing is not even a fine. After all, on many sections of the road where several road signs are installed, as a rule, tow trucks work, which in the blink of an eye will take your car to the impound lot for traffic violations related to ignoring prescriptive or prohibiting road signs. As a result, drivers not only "get" the fines of the traffic police, but spend a lot of money in order to pick up the car from the special parking lot.

Naturally, this requires a lot of time and a large number of nerve cells.

So how can a driver protect himself from the risk of being fined by the traffic police for? Of course, for this you just need to learn how to read the combination of road signs correctly.

To begin with, of course, every driver just needs to refresh his memory by remembering Traffic Laws and all major road signs. Thus, you will reduce the risk of a fine for traffic violations. Also, you should make it a rule never to rush on the road. Especially in places where a large number of road signs are installed, including on one pole or stretch.

Remember that if you read the signs in a hurry, then there is a chance that you will misunderstand the meaning of the established road signs and violate traffic rules, which can lead to a fine and even a parking lot. To make it easier for you to understand how to read road signs, we offer you a live example of how to interpret a group of road signs installed on the same pole and related to the same section of the road.

It is this combination of road signs that is very often found on the territories of railway stations, near airports, next to government agencies and various medical complexes (hospitals, clinics, etc.). Unfortunately, it would seem that this simple set of familiar road signs often confuses many drivers. As a result, even experienced drivers, having misunderstood their meaning, grossly violate the rules of the road.

And so, for example, here is a combination of several signs that are often found on Russian roads, streets and lanes:

Now we ask you not to read the text below, but having carefully studied the group of road signs, understand what they mean. Then below you can find out a detailed explanation of this group of road signs, checking if you read and understood correctly.

Imagine a one-way road with poles on both sides with a similar combination of road signs. Many drivers might think that this group of road signs contradict each other. But, in fact, such a combination of signs on our roads is not uncommon. Is it possible that the traffic police put up such signs in violation of the law?

Actually, of course not. Such a combination and joint installation of several signs on one pole or stretch does not violate any legislative norms.

We asked many drivers to explain what this "cipher" of road signs means.

Unfortunately, most drivers, after a cursory glance at the combination of signs, decided that he only allowed parking on even dates of each month.

Next, we decided to check how drivers comply with a similar set of road signs in real conditions. Going in the daytime to one of the streets of Moscow, where on both sides of the one-way road there are the desired combination of signs, we found that all parked cars grossly violate the rules of the road. Then we decided to wait for the drivers and ask them why they parked the car in violation of the current rules.

The most surprising thing is that most drivers did not understand for a long time what exactly they had violated. After all, many believed that they did not violate traffic rules, as they parked in accordance with the instructions of the sign (we conducted this experiment on an even date of the month).

That is, the majority of drivers, upon arrival at this section of the road, believed that parking was allowed on the current day, since it was even.

So, in their opinion, they do not violate sign 3.29 "Parking is prohibited on odd days of the month". But not everything is so simple.

If drivers would carefully look at the combination of road signs and interpret it correctly, they would understand that parking within the coverage area of this set of road signs is strictly prohibited. Let's take a closer look at why, if you see a similar combination of signs on the road, you do not have the right to park during the daytime and even stop for a short time on the section of the road where the combination of signs presented in our example is installed.

And so let's analyze the combination of road signs in our example separately: from bottom to top.

Below we see a familiar road sign "Zone"("arrow to down" - 8.2.3 SDA RF), which stands for "Area". This traffic sign "Arrow down" is used, according to the rules of the road, only in conjunction with the following prohibition signs:

- "Parking prohibited" (sign 3.28)

- "Parking is prohibited on odd days of the month" (sign 3.29)

- "Parking is prohibited on even days of the month" (sign 3.30)

According to the rules of the road, the sign "Area of action" (in our example "down arrow"), together with any of the above prohibition signs, means that the operation of signs prohibiting stopping, parking on any days, parking on odd days of the month and parking on even days of the month is valid on the section of the road to the place where the prohibition sign with the "arrow" is installed.

Here is an example of such a sign:

That is, a sign prohibiting parking ceases to be valid at the place where the road sign is installed along with the sign " Arrow" (road sign 8.2.3 "Zone").

In our example with a combination of road signs, above "Down Arrow" (sign 8.2.3) we see sign sign 3.29 - "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month".

Accordingly, according to the rules of the road, the combination sign 3.29 co sign 8.2.3 "Zone"("down arrow") means that the zone of prohibition of parking on odd dates of the month ends at the place where such a set of road signs is installed.

Therefore, after this combination of road signs ( 3.29 and 8.2.3) motorists have the right to park the car on any day of the month.

But how then to interpret other road signs located above, which we see in our example (above the sign "Zone"("down arrow") and "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month"): sign 8.24 "A tow truck is running", sign 8.5.5 "Time of action" and sign 3.27 "Stop prohibited"?

It is these additional road signs that confuse many drivers (especially beginners who are very inattentive in the first years of driving experience). It may even seem to many that such a combination of signs contradicts each other. But as we have already said, the corresponding set of signs fully complies with the established rules of traffic rules and the norms of the current legislation.

And so, above the signs "Zone"("down arrow") and "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month" we see a few more road signs. Here is their list from bottom to top:

-"A tow truck is working" (sign 8.24)

- "Time of action" (sign 8.5.5)

- "Stop is prohibited" (sign 3.27)

Now let's take a closer look at each sign.

In accordance with the traffic rules in force in the Russian Federation, the road sign 8.24 "A tow truck is running" can be installed in the area of prohibition traffic signs 3.27, 3.28, 3.29 and 3.30.

As you can see, in our example above the sign 8.24 "A tow truck is running" the main prohibition sign is located 3.27 "Stop prohibited". So the presence of a sign about the work of a tow truck in the area of the ban on stopping is justified and fully complies with the current traffic rules.

Recall that if, together with the sign "Stop prohibited" (3.27 ) set sign "A tow truck is running" (8.24 ), this means that vehicles are detained in the zone of the prohibition to stop vehicles in case of violation of the prohibition to stop the car.

Now let's refresh our memory on the knowledge of traffic rules, about the sign "Time of action" (8.5.5 ).

Recall that these road signs are installed jointly with road signs in order to regulate traffic on a certain section of the road with the help of road signs in a certain period of time.

For example, during rush hour.

In our example, the road sign "Stop prohibited" operates according to the established sign 8.5.5 "Time of action", from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm all seven days a week of every month.

That is, in other words, the sign "Stop prohibited" valid on a particular section of the road from 8 to 17 hours every day all 7 days a week.

And so, after we have deciphered all the road signs in our example of a combination of signs, we can proceed to their general interpretation, and not individually.

We have sorted out a combination of road signs (listed from bottom to top):

- 8.2.3 "Area of coverage",

- 3.29 - "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month"

- 8.24 - "The tow truck is working"

- 8.5.5 - "Action time"

- 3.27 "Stop prohibited"

That is, in our example, imagine that the above signs can be located on one section of the road on one pillar. You can find such combinations of road signs throughout the country. Especially where there is a difficult situation with parking near large shopping centers, medical clinics, government agencies, etc.

Unfortunately, as we have already said, many drivers misunderstand this set of signs on one pole, and as a result, they often violate traffic rules by parking a car in the area of these signs.

All this is primarily due to ignorance of traffic rules or haste.

And as you probably already understood that this "rebus" of road signs indicates that all 7 days a week, from 8.00 am to 17.00 pm Stopping vehicles is prohibited in the zone of action of the signs. The rest of the time (from 17.00 pm to 8.00 am) in the zone of action of the signs you can park your car only on even days of the month.

That is, from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm sign 3.29 - "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month" It does not work , and therefore drivers are required to comply with the above road signs: "A tow truck is working", "Action time" and "Stop prohibited".

Accordingly, if you park your car in the daytime in the area of action of such a combination of road signs, then you will grossly violate the rules of the road. In this case, your car can be towed legally, as you were warned about this by a road sign 8.24 - "A tow truck is running".

Recall that in this case you will not only pay for the evacuation of your car, but will also be forced to pay a fine of 1500 rubles (for Moscow and St. Petersburg, the fine is 3,000 rubles ) in accordance with article 12.16 part 4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (12.16 part 5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation) "Failure to comply with the requirements prescribed by road signs or roadway markings prohibiting the stopping or parking of vehicles".

During our real-life experiment, we approached drivers who had parked their cars in the coverage area of the combination of traffic signs shown in our example in order to explain to them that they were flagrantly violating traffic rules. In most cases, drivers were surprised at first. But after our explanations, they immediately left.

It is worth noting that many drivers, despite the fact that they correctly interpreted the meaning of this "rebus" signs, believed that they could get around the law without violating traffic rules. For example, many drivers within the coverage area of such signs stop the car and turn on the emergency alarm (“emergency gang”) or simply stand next to the car, pretending to have stopped temporarily. Thus, the drivers think that they are not violating the sign "Parking is prohibited on odd days of the month" (we approached the drivers on an odd date of the month) because they stopped for a short time. After all, a car stop is not yet a parking lot. Yes, of course it is.

Recall that according to the rules of the road, parking and stopping a vehicle are different concepts. Here's what the chapter says 1.2 Rules of the road:

"Stop" for up to 5 minutes , as well as more, if necessary for the embarkation or disembarkation of passengers, or the loading or unloading of a vehicle.

"Parking"- intentionally stopping the movement of the vehicle for more than 5 minutes for reasons not related to boarding or disembarking a passenger or loading or unloading a vehicle.

Accordingly, in the zone of action of the sign "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month" (3.29 ), which is in our combination of road signs installed on one pole (section of the road), you have the right to stop the car even on odd dates of the month, but only for up to 5 minutes. It should be noted, however, that according to paragraph 1.2 of the SDA, in the area of the sign "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month" You can stop any day of the month for more than 5 minutes in the case of boarding or disembarking passengers, as well as in the case of loading or unloading a vehicle.

But parking (stopping the car for more than 5 minutes, not related to boarding or disembarking a passenger or loading or unloading a vehicle) of a car on an odd day of the month in the zone of the sign "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month" (3.29) strictly prohibited .

But, all this refers to the sign "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month". But in our example, there is a sign on top 3.27 "Stop prohibited", which, in fact, from 8.00 to 17.00 cancels the sign "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month".

Accordingly, in the period from 8.00 to 17.00 seven days a week in the coverage area of a combination of road signs: 8.2.3 "Scope" ("down arrow"), 3.29 - "Parking prohibited on odd days of the month", 8.24 - "A tow truck is running", 8.5.5 - "Time of action" and 3.27 "Stop prohibited" Not only is parking prohibited, but even a short stop any vehicles.

So, if you park your car even for a minute in the area of action of such a set of road signs, then you will violate the current traffic rules.

Why do the traffic police install a large number of traffic signs in one place?

Many drivers often do not understand why on many sections of the road there are often complex combinations of road signs that are often confused by drivers and, as a result, violate traffic rules. In fact, such "puzzles" appear on the roads, not in order to collect money from drivers, issuing heavy fines and earning money on the evacuation (unfortunately, this happens in our country) of cars, but first of all, this is necessary for proper regulation traffic on difficult sections of roads, streets, alleys, etc.

Yes, you can, of course, find fault with the GOSTs for installing road signs on Russian roads for a long time and complain about the incompetence of markings, etc. Of course, in our country, our roads, markings, road signs, traffic lights, etc. still far from perfect. But, nevertheless, we believe that in most cases such "riddles" in the form of a set of road signs are still necessary.

So maybe it's time to just revisit the rules of the road. so as not to get confused on the road and read correctly.

And most importantly, we want to note that never rush when you see any combination of road signs. Your task is to consistently understand their meaning, and only then interpret their conscientious meaning.

In our example, the claim combination of road signs must be read and interpreted from the bottom up. In this case, if you do not rush, then even a novice driver can easily understand the meaning of the restrictions in force on the section of the road where a similar set of signs is installed.

Roads, highways, avenues, highways in various CIS countries cannot be imagined without road signs. For an experienced driver, this is a completely ordinary thing that he knows, but for a beginner or novice, this is a bunch of different images that can not tell him much.

The governments of various CIS countries are steadily replenishing the ranks of road signs in order to prevent possible traffic accidents. Also, new road signs help make driving on the roads much easier and safer for drivers.

What groups are road signs divided into?

For general convenience, all road signs were divided into appropriate groups and each of them was given a name according to its intended purpose. SDA of the Russian Federation distinguishes 8 groups of DZ:

  1. warning;
  2. priority;
  3. Forbidding;
  4. Prescriptive (predictive);
  5. Particularly prescriptive;
  6. Informational;
  7. Service;
  8. Information boards.

Warning DZ

Warning signs - tell the driver of the vehicle that he is approaching an area in which you need to pay attention and take specific measures appropriate to a certain situation. Most warning remote sensing has the shape of a triangle, with a red, bold outline, and inside, in black and white, depicts a danger or situation that awaits the driver ahead. This alerts the driver to the following conditions or situations:

Priority signs

Priority signs set the order intersections of a particular type of road. Although there are relatively few of them, they are of great importance in priority for drivers. Imagine a situation where the driver is driving along the main road, two more cars are driving on the sides, from the intermediate ones. Who has more benefits? Of course, the driver who moves along the main road, and the other two cars will have to wait for their turn. Help determine the type of roadway DZ priority, they are:

Forbidding remote sensing

Prohibition signs - intended to restrict activities in a specific area, namely the movement on a certain type of vehicle. Most of these traffic symbols are circular in shape, bordered in red, and inside, in black and white, it shows what cannot be done in a particular zone. Forbidding D.Z. do not allow to do the following:

  1. To enter a certain area by any type of vehicle;
  2. Drive any type of vehicle;
  3. Movement on any types of mechanical vehicles;
  4. Entry by trucks;
  5. Movement on motorcycles or bicycles;
  6. I ride a tractor;
  7. Traveling with a trailer by car;
  8. Riding on horse-drawn carts;
  9. Walking pedestrians;
  10. Exceeding the specified cargo weight, cargo weight per vehicle axle;
  11. Exceeding the specified height or length of transport;
  12. Exceeding the minimum distance;
  13. Travel without customs;
  14. Movement without control;
  15. Turn left or right;
  16. Vehicle turning;
  17. Overtaking someone else's vehicle;
  18. Overtaking trucks;
  19. Exceeding the specified speed.
  20. Giving a sound signal;
  21. Stop, parking;
  22. Parking on odd or even days of the month;
  23. Movement of vehicles with dangerous, flammable goods.

Mandatory signs introduce or cancel direction, as well as modes of movement. They also can set a certain speed movement and cancel it. Such signs look like blue circles with white symbols inside that tell the driver what to do and can show the following:

DZ special prescriptions

Signs of special regulations introduce or cancel certain types of traffic on vehicles. They usually have the shape of a square, colored blue, and in its center special symbols are shown that will help the driver figure out what he needs to do. The rules of the road distinguish the following DZ special requirements:

  1. Motorway start;
  2. end of motorway;
  3. The beginning of a road reserved exclusively for cars and its end;
  4. The beginning of a one-way road and the end;
  5. Departure onto a one-way road (the direction is shown on the sign itself);
  6. The beginning of the reverse movement and its end. Reverse movement - a zone in which, on certain lanes, the direction of movement can change several times;
  7. Departure to the road with reverse type traffic;
  8. The beginning of the road, which is intended for public transport and the end;
  9. Departure to the road, which is intended for public transport;
  10. Road for public transport;
  11. The lane is for bicycles only;
  12. Directions of movement along the lanes in different directions;
  13. Different directions of movement along the lane;
  14. The beginning of the strip and its end;
  15. Directions of movement along the lanes;
  16. Number of lanes;
  17. Stop for public transport;
  18. taxi rank;
  19. Crosswalk;
  20. An artificial roughness designed to slow down a vehicle's speed;
  21. The beginning of the residential area - where there are many people, as a rule, is placed in front of high-rise residential buildings;
  22. End of residential area.
  23. Signs of the beginning and end of the settlement - are placed on the outskirts of cities;
  24. Parking with a temporary restriction;
  25. The beginning of the regulated car parking area and the end;
  26. The beginning of the zone with a limited maximum speed (km / h) and the end;
  27. Beginning of the pedestrian zone.
  28. End of pedestrian zone.

Information remote sensing tells the driver about the location of settlements and other objects, as well as about the established or recommended driving modes. Such signs are almost always larger than usual, their main color is blue, and the shape of a rectangle or square, and they talk about the following rules:

DZ service

Service signs tell drivers the location of certain objects that may provide specific services person or vehicle. Such signs have a rectangular shape with a blue color. Inside is a white void, which is indicated by symbols, in black and white, what to expect from this institution. Service signs inform road users about the location of the following establishments:

  1. Point PMP (first aid);
  2. Hospital (the place where you can go if one of the passengers has a serious injury);
  3. Gas station (under this DZ the approximate distance to the destination is indicated);
  4. Vehicle technical service;
  5. Car wash;
  6. Phone, in case a person does not have his own;
  7. Dining room or just a food point;
  8. Water for drinking;
  9. Camping, camp;
  10. Distance to the police station;
  11. radio station;
  12. Point at which international traffic is controlled;
  13. Beach or pool;
  14. Toilet (female, male);
  15. A place to sit down and relax.

Additional Information Signs

Additional information signs are used to clarify or limit the actions of other signs with which they are applied. Such DZs, as a rule, have a not entirely new style (black on white), practically without any additional colors. Information boards say the following:

What does the number of the road sign mean?

Each sign has its own number. It is expressed as numbers that are written with a dot. You can take, as an example, the number of the sign "Scope" - 8.2.1. The first digit 8 means the number of the group, that is, signs of additional information, the second digit 2 is the serial number of the sign in the group, the third digit 1 means the type of sign in the group. Thus, the sign "Zone of action" is the first variety, the second sign, the eighth group.

All traffic signs are divided into eight groups, each of which serves to convey certain information to the driver. This article discusses in detail the features of each type of plates, as well as their main functions.

Groups of traffic signs

All signs used on the territory of the Russian Federation are divided into the following groups:

  • warning signs;
  • priority signs;
  • prohibition signs;
  • prescriptive signs;
  • signs of special prescriptions;
  • information signs;
  • service marks;
  • additional information signs.

Each group of road signs has its own shape and color tone. In addition, all plates have a digital identifier. The first digit is the group, the second is the number within the group, and the third is the species.

Each group serves to convey to the driver any information or a ban on movement.

Classification of road signs- warning signs

Distinctive features of such signs are triangular-shaped plates, a white background on which symbols are applied in black paint, and a red edging.

A warning sign, according to the rules, is placed 50 or 100 meters before the danger zone in urban or rural areas, and 150-300 meters on roads outside settlements. If it is not possible to install a sign at the prescribed distance, the distance to the dangerous area in meters is indicated at the bottom of the plate. Such road signs, as a rule, have a triangular shape, so it is almost impossible to confuse them.

Warning signs are installed rectangular and cross-shaped. Their installation is determined by separate norms and rules. So, signs 1.1, 1.2, 1.9, 1.10 and some others are placed exclusively outside cities and villages. The minimum information distance regarding the danger zone is 50 meters. Plates 1.23 and 1.25 are installed directly on the emergency site.

Warning signs 1.7, 1.17, 1.22 indicate that there is no roundabout or pedestrian crossing further along the path. They are additionally accompanied by plates from other groups.

What road signs are from the group of priority signs

Priority plates indicate a certain one, which is considered the main one in relation to other movement trajectories. Usually you see such signs at intersections and other similar areas with difficult traffic. Regulation signs may also be placed on narrow roads.

The sign "Movement without stopping is prohibited" is most often found near railways and barriers to prevent train emergencies.

In some cases, on the road you can see a regulatory sign and a traffic light, or a sign and a traffic controller. In this case, priority is given to traffic signals or a traffic controller / traffic police officer. Be careful under these circumstances. Only if the traffic light is turned off, you need to focus on the sign.

Types of traffic signs- prohibition signs

As could be understood from the name of the group, prohibition signs inform the driver about the prohibition of movement.

In turn, such signs are divided into prohibitory and restrictive. In the first case, passage is strictly prohibited, and in the second, it is allowed to continue driving, but with maximum caution.

Prohibition signs are always round, with a white background, on which a certain pattern is applied in black paint. The exception is four plates with a blue background. In addition, there are four black and white signs that allow previously prohibited traffic.

The signs of this group are the most difficult to learn: for prohibition and limiting signs, some exceptions have been introduced that apply to specific modes of transport. In addition, it is difficult to navigate in the territory of action of a sign.

  1. The first exception applies to drivers who have turned on special signals and red-blue lights and are performing some official mission. In this case, any prohibition sign can be ignored.
  2. Signs 16, 3.17.1, 3.17.2, 3.17.3, 3.20, 3.24 must be taken into account by all motorists.
  3. The presence of plates 1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.18.1, 3.18.2, 3.19, 3.27 does not apply to minibuses.
  4. Signs 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, 3.28, 3.29, 3.30 may ignore post cars.
  5. Plates numbered 3.2, 3.3, 3.28, 3.29, 3.30 may be neglected by drivers carrying disabled people of the first and second groups.
  6. Ignore signs 3.2, 3.3, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 have the right to employees of factories and enterprises located in the area of the sign, as well as drivers carrying passengers who live in this area.
  7. Taxi drivers with an activated meter can ignore signs 3.28, 3.29 and 3.30.
  8. Plate 3.26 allows you to horn to prevent an accident.
  9. And the last exception - sign 3.20 allows you to go around a car that cannot reach a speed of more than 30 kilometers per hour, as well as a motorcycle, bicycle or wagon.

It is often difficult to figure out where the action of a particular sign ends. To do this, learn four rules.

  1. The action of specific signs ceases before the first intersection.
  2. If a certain plate is installed in an urban or rural area, then its validity is terminated outside the territory of the settlement. Outside the city or village there is always a crossed out sign with the name of the settlement.
  3. The coverage area may be indicated on the sign itself.
  4. Sign 3.31 cancels all previous ones.

Types of road signs- prescriptive signs

Similar signs apply to absolutely everyone. They can indicate the direction in which it is allowed to continue moving, the maximum or the route of passage for special vehicles. In addition, mandatory signs may allow pedestrians or cyclists to move.

Almost all such signs are round, with a blue background and white pictograms.

Features of road signs

  1. Tablets 4.1.1 - 4.1.6 indicate the trajectory of traffic at a particular intersection.
  2. On the signs 4.1.3, 4.1.5 and 4.1.6 an arrow is drawn, which allows movement exclusively to the left. In addition, in this place you can turn around.
  3. Signs 4.1.1 - 4.1.6 can be ignored by drivers of minibuses and buses.

8 groups of road signs

Four groups of road signs were considered above. It remains to disassemble the same number of types, namely: signs of special requirements, information signs, service plates and signs of additional information.

Categories of road signs- signs of special regulations

On some roads it is impossible to establish a generally accepted traffic norm. It is in such situations that special prescription signs are used that inform drivers about special driving modes.

  1. Signs 5.23.1, 5.23.2, 5.24.1, 5.24.2 are placed on the territory for which the traffic rules for settlements are relevant.
  2. Tablets 5.25 and 5.26 inform about the invalidity of the rules for urban or rural areas.
  3. Signs 5.27, 5.29, 5.31, 5.33 apply to a specific area without exception, whether it is an intersection or any other road with non-standard traffic.

Group of information signs

Similar plates were created for drivers about different settlements, as well as the location of certain cities and villages.

These signs are always rectangular, and the main color may vary, depending on the subgroup. For example, a green background is used for highway features. A white background is used to indicate objects within a certain point, yellow - if roads are being repaired. Blue is used to indicate routes outside the city.

Categories of traffic signs- signs of additional information

Additional signs serve for more detailed information. They are complementary to the main characters. Therefore, they cannot be used on their own. According to the rules, no more than three plates can be attached to one sign.

If the additional sign contradicts the main sign, the driver must follow the instructions of the temporary plate. Additional signs are mainly installed during renovation work.

Categories of road signs- service signs

As you might have guessed, such signs indicate various points, for example, car repairs or refueling.

They are hung in the city near the object itself, and in the countryside, or outside the city, in advance - from 400 meters to 80 kilometers.
