“You kept your word. Thank you, now come with me, brother. We need to give this gold to the one who lent it so generously.” Saint Spyridon took the gold and, going out into the garden, laid it near the fence. At first, people thought that the poor woman had lost her mind from grief, and even took her to the doctors. But they said she was perfectly healthy. Immediately after the funeral, Ksenia distributed all her property and money to the poor, and presented her husband’s house, in which she had once been so happy, to her good friend Paraskeva Antonova, asking her to let homeless beggars sleep for the night.
