INTRODUCTION

I was interested in why in our class all the guys study differently: some are excellent, some are good, and some are satisfactory. Undoubtedly, it depends on many reasons: desire, skill, patience and many others. I decided to consider the most incredible (in my opinion) factor that affects the performance of students in our class: the starry sky, or rather, the signs of the zodiac.

Purpose of the study:

Find out if the signs of the zodiac under which my classmates were born affect their academic performance?

Research objectives:

Study the literature on the topic;

Collect data from astrologers related to the signs of the zodiac;

Conduct a survey among students in your class;

Correlate performance data certain sign zodiac;

Draw conclusions from the results of the study.

Astrology and zodiac signs.

Astrology is one of the oldest sciences.

What is astrology?

"Soviet encyclopedic Dictionary" defines "ASTROLOGY" as follows: "the doctrine of the supposedly existing connection between the location heavenly bodies And historical events, destinies of people and nations"

IN " Modern dictionary foreign words" "ASTROLOGY" is "The doctrine that arose in ancient times, developed in the Middle Ages and re-spread in the 20th century, about the connection between the movement of celestial bodies and earthly events."

In ancient times, when people looked at the sky at night, they noticed that many bright stars were arranged in a certain order and formed groups. These are the constellations.

In every ancient civilization, people gave names to these constellations, naming them after gods, heroes, or giving the names of animals or objects.

In the process of observation, 12 constellations were clearly distinguished. The sun and moon rose and set in the part of the sky where these 12 constellations were located. And so that part of the sky, through which the Sun, Moon and planets passed, was called the Zodiac, which means "Circle of animals." This name appeared because most of the constellations bore the names of living beings. The zodiac was divided into 12 sectors, each named after one of the 12 constellations. 12 constellations are called signs of the zodiac - Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.

Astrologers have endowed each sign of the zodiac with characteristic features, character traits (see Appendix brief description signs of the zodiac).

I conducted a survey among students in my class and identified which Zodiac Signs are the most among them. (See the questionnaire questions in the appendix)

Summarizing

As a result of the survey, I found that

among 7 excellent students of the Pisces class - 1 student, Sagittarius - 2 students, Capricorn - 1 student, Taurus - 1 student, Libra - 1 student, Cancer - 1 student;

among 8 good students: Capricorn - 1 student, Scorpio - 2 students, Taurus - 2 students, Libra - 1 student, Gemini - 1 student, Virgo - 1 student;

among 5 C students: Gemini - 1 student, Libra - 2 students, Pisces - 1 student, Sagittarius - 1 student (Diagram in the appendix).

Output:

As can be seen from the data obtained, some signs of the zodiac are present both among excellent students and among good students and three students. My assumption that most A students, B students, and C students should have the same zodiac sign was not confirmed. Of course, Scorpios and Leos are endowed with different learning abilities, and these individual qualities can be traced in representatives of any zodiac sign. But there is no such sign under which only losers or excellent students would be born. Still, academic success mainly depends not so much on the stars, but on the patience and desire of the students. To paraphrase folk wisdom, we can say: hope for the stars, but don’t make a mistake yourself!
